How Much Memory Do I Need?

The type of software applications you use has a direct correlation with the amount
of memory your system needs to run effectively.
Today's recommended minimum for running most applications in Windows XP is 512Mb. if you intend
to use several programs at any one time or use software that is extremely graphics-intensive then you will need more!

In general, the Windows XP operating system runs best with at least 512Mb of RAM,
and preferably 1024Mb [1GB]or more to take full advantage of the features Windows XP Operating System has to offer.

Please note: All our systems have a minimum of 2048mb [2Gb] DDR 2 - 
also, we only use the latest Intel Processors and AMD as seen on TV.

For Windows® XP® users we recommend a minimum of 1024Mb. [1GB]
For Windows® Vista® users we recommend a minimum of 2048mb. [2GB]

This is just for the operating systems, you will need to add more memory for each additional program
you plan to run at any given time. To calculate the memory you may need, look at the software you're running,
then add the amount of memory required for each application to the amount you need to run your operating system.

Here are some general guidelines we found at www.corsair.com which correspond with
today's typical applications and the amount of memory recommended for each.

Remember, the more you do, the more you WILL need!

small graphics programs, or two applications open at once. 512mb

Intense Administrative/Student
Word processing and e-mail, spreadsheets, fax and communication software,
business graphics, general gaming software, or three or more applications open at once. 1024mb [1GB]

Executive/Management
Word processing and email, spreadsheets, fax and communication software,
presentation software, illustration software, photo editing, Web browser. 1024mb [1GB]

Professional and Gamer
Word processing and e-mail, photo editing, font packages and multimedia software,
CAD software, CAM software, gaming software. 2GB/3GB

Heavy Graphics Design
3D CAD software, modelling software. 4GB and higher
